A water main replacement starts Thursday on Donovan Avenue from Connelly Creek to 36th Street, and on 35th Street from Donovan Avenue to one block north.
The City says some affected blocks in the area will be closed for the work, which will be closed to through traffic with the exception of Donovan Avenue between 30th and 32nd Streets, which will have flaggers directing one lane of traffic during working hours.
Look out from some work on the Guide this week overnights between 7pm and 7am as water quality improvements are made
And 12 different Lummi Island roads will be getting a fresh chip seal with work happening through Thursday.
Whatcom County Public works says long delays should be expected.
