BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Staging starts next week on Bellingham’s new five-story Operations Center building.
The new facility will be located on the 2200 block of Pacific Street and will replace temporary portables and equipment sheds.
In April, the city council approved a $20 million bid from Spee West Construction to begin the first upgrade to the Public Works Operations Facility in over 25 years.
The construction will allow the City’s Operations divisions to consolidate office space, equipment and services at a single, central site, creating efficiencies and preparing for future needs.
The staging could cause some traffic delays on Pacific Street, but full construction won’t begin for a couple of weeks.
