FERNDALE, Wash. – Work gets underway on a project to improve fish passage in California Creek near Ferndale.
WSDOT crews will begin building bypass lanes in the median between Grandview and Birch Bay-Lynden Road on Monday.
That work could bring lane closures at times.
Those lanes will first be used for southbound traffic and then northbound as workers replace culverts under the freeway.
The project will also affect traffic on Grandview, Portal Way and Zell Road later this summer.
