WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A 27-year-old Whatcom County man, and convicted child molester, was arrested in another molestation case.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Paul Olson Monday after initial reports in September that he had been inappropriate with an 11-year-old girl and possibly molested her.
Investigators and Child Protective Services found text messages between the two that Undersheriff Jeff Parks said showed Olson was having sexual contact with the victim.
Parks says the young girl eventually told investigators that Olson had molested her at least once.
Olson was convicted of 3rd degree child molestation in 2014, and was arrested in October last year for failure to register his address.
