BELLINGHAM, Wash. – After weeks of hot, dry weather and smoky skies, Whatcom County may see a big change.
The National Weather Service expects winds to shift from north to southwest and help gradually thin out the smoke from B.C. wildfires over the next few days.
Meanwhile, temperatures are projected to cool Thursday with increased wind from the water.
Whatcom County can also look forward to chances of rain later this weekend as a weak front moves through.
