BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham is looking to the community to pick out a new name for the Cordata Neighborhood Park tucked away at the end of Horton Road.
The park was the first and only park in Cordata when it was planned in 2008.
Because of the purchase in 2015 of the “Community Park at Cordata” (a currently undeveloped piece of land south of Horton Road), the Parks and Recreation Department wants to rename the older park.
Suggestions for the new name can be emailed to parks@cob.org through the end of December, or expressed at the public meeting at the Birchwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, November 7, 6:30 PM.
