BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Health officials have confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in Whatcom County.
In a release, the Whatcom County Health department stated that the patient is a woman in her 60s who received medical care at PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s.
Her condition improved, and she has been discharged.
She has self-isolated at home since then.
The health department says they are working to identify and monitor all close contacts of the patient to avoid further spread of the virus.
