MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Skagit County residents will soon have to pay more for services at the Sheriff’s Office.

Fees for civil legal services offered by the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office will increase in October.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports the county board of commissioners unanimously approved raising the fees for services like serving subpoenas, court summonses and anti-harassment orders.

Fees are going up $10 and a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office says they plan to reevaluate them every five years.
