Costco co-founder dies

ISSAQUAH, Wash. – Costco board members and employees are mourning the loss of the company’s co-founder and board chairman.

Jeff Brotman died early Tuesday morning.

He was 74.

Brotman co-founded Costco 35-years-ago with Jim Sinegal.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Costco founder has passed away.

Robert Craves helped found Costco.

He died Wednesday after recently being diagnosed with cancer.

He was 72-years-old.

The Seattle Times reports that after helping build Costco, craves co-founded the College Success Foundation, a nonprofit that provides mentors and scholarships to low-income and first-generation college students.
