BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A cougar was seen running down Woburn Street early this morning.
The large cat was running south on the sidewalk across from the Roger Jobs car dealership at about 3:00 am.
The cougar jumped over the railing into the wooded area around Whatcom Creek, KGMI Morning News producer Weston Whitener said.
Many trails wind through the area, which is surrounded by residential neighborhoods.
State Patrol said that the State Department of Fish and Wildlife was notified.
