NASHVILLE, TENN. – Country music legend and former Whatcom County resident Loretta Lynn is hospitalized after having a stroke.
Publicist Maria Malta confirmed Friday that the 85-year-old singer and songwriter was admitted into a Nashville hospital Thursday night.
Lynn’s website says she is responsive and expected to make a full recovery.
Lynn lived in Custer before going on to create a string of hits starting in the 1960s including “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
