BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The County Fire Marshall has lifted the remaining outdoor burn ban.

On Wednesday, recreational fires were permitted again in unincorporated Whatcom County.

Now, yard debris and land clearing fires can resume, effective at 5pm today.

The office reminds burners that fires larger than 4’ X 4’ require a written burn permit obtained from the Planning & Development office.

This as the burn ban has also been lifted for campers and hikers at all areas of the North Cascade National Park.
