BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Whatcom County Health Department warns to not be complacent about COVID-19.
The CDC has lowered the risk of infection in the county to “low,” but the local health department says our rate continues to hover just under the “medium” risk level.
We’re currently at 171 cases per 100,000 residents and will be in the “medium” range if that number goes over 200.
The health department says you should get tested if exposed or have symptoms, keep vaccinations up-to-date, stay home if you’re ill and consider wearing a mask in crowded places.
