FERNDALE, Wash. – Whatcom County hopes to reopen Hovander Park by mid-May, 2022.
The park near Ferndale has been closed to the public because of damage from flooding last November.
Whatcom County Parks and Recreation is working to secure funding for the large-scale repairs but some of the work will have to wait for drier conditions.
The County is asking everyone stay out of the park during the closure.
