BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County’s coronavirus risk assessment is improving.
The state dashboard is passing the county on three of four state risk assessment metrics, for the first time since reporting began.
The failing measure is rate of new infections per 100,000 population over the past two weeks.
The State’s goal is 25; Whatcom County has dropped to 28.9 but that’s not quite passing.
Whatcom County’s 7-day rate for that same metric has been in the teens and low 20’s recently, indicating continued progress.
