If you’re eligible for a booster COVID shot you should be able to get one.
The Washington Department of Health says there is a plentiful supply of all three approved vaccines at local clinics and pharmacies.
People who’ve completed the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine protocol more than six months ago can get a booster if they’re 65 and older.
Those who are 18 to 64 who live in long-term care facilities, have underlying medical conditions or work or live in high-risk settings can also get a booster.
Those 18 or over who received the single dose J&J vaccine at least two months ago can get any one of the three shots.
Both the FDA and CDC say that studies have found “mixing and matching” different vaccine boosters is safe and effective.
Go to the state health department’s vaccine locator to find local providers who have boosters available.
