WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – COVID cases have gone down significantly in Whatcom County and it has stayed that way for the past few weeks.

The latest data from the CDC shows the community spread of COVID remains at the lowest level.

As of March 9th, roughly 22 cases a week have been reported in Whatcom County.

It marks the lowest rolling average in new cases since June 2021.

And we’re seeing similar number across the state.

For the first time, all 39 counties in Washington State have been classified as “low risk communities” for COVID transmission.
