BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham residents should watch out for theft at the gas pump.
Lieutenant Danette Beckley says a card skimmer was discovered at a local gas station.
An employee at Starvin’ Sam’s on Meridian and West North Street noticed the credit card insert looked like it had been tampered with. They discovered a skimming device had been installed and called police.
Beckley hopes victims are limited, noting that authorites discovered the skimmer early.
Detectives are working to ID possible victims and are checking video to identify suspects.
