LYNDEN, Wash. – Credit card skimmers have been found on more gas pumps in Whatcom County, this time in Lynden.
Lynden Police Chief John Billester says a maintenance man found skimmers on 8 pumps at the Spirit of Lynden 76 station at 19th and Front Street.
The skimmers had Bluetooth technology so whoever installed them could get credit card information remotely.
Billester says they’re checking with Bellingham Police to see if there are similarities with skimmers recently found at a Starvin Sams on Meridian.
He says check people who think their information could have been compromised should contact their bank or credit card company right away.
