BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham fire crews tackled a two alarm fire at a church this Friday morning.

The fire was reported just after 5 am, September 10th, at a church on the 2500 block of Cornwall Ave.

Crews on the scene said that heavy flames went through the roof of the building.

Traffic in the area was impacted and the Fire Department is asking people to avoid the area.

No injuries have been reported, and it’s not clear if the church was vacant when the fire broke out.
