FERNDALE, Wash. — A body washed ashore Sunday near Sandy Point.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a body that had washed up on the shoreline in the 4800 block of Sucia Drive in Ferndale on Sunday.
Deputies discovered a deceased male who had been in the water for some time only clothed in undershorts.
No identification or other items were found at the scene.
No immediate cause of death was determined, and the body was turned over to the Whatcom County Medical Examiner.
