BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The coroner has ruled that the death of Bellingham woman who was struck by a train last week was a suicide.
Bellingham police officers were sent to a train-pedestrian collision at the railroad crossing at the north end of Boulevard Park on December 10.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says that responding officers found a southbound train stopped and a deceased woman under a train car.
Police identified the victim as a 55-year-old Bellingham woman and upon further investigation determined Bolson intentionally walked onto the tracks in front of the approaching train.
