Other election news in Washington:

Democratic U.S. Rep Kim Schrier has won a third term in Washington’s 8th U.S. House district.

She has defeated Matt Larkin, a lawyer, abortion rights opponent and former Washington attorney general candidate who painted her as too far left.

Schrier is the only Democrat to hold the seat since the district was created in the early 1980s.

And Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez continues to hold a slim lead over Republican Joe Kent in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.

Former President Trump endorsed Kent in the race to replace Jamie Herrera-Beutler, who was turned away by primary voters in part because of her vote to impeach Trump.
