OLYMPIA, Wash. — Three separate protests in Olympia this weekend led to violence.

Demonstrators from both ends of the political spectrum clashed near the State Capitol Saturday afternoon.

KIRO reports more than 100 officers responded to the mayhem.

Filmmaker Robert Zerfing was there when a person was shot and said it took a couple of minutes for law enforcement to arrive and the parking lot was pretty much cleared out by that time.

The Washington State Patrol says at one point a large firework was thrown into the crowd, but it did not detonate.

WSP Detectives are looking for witnesses to events leading up to the shooting.

Olympia police reported 4 officer injuries and four arrests.
