Now you can get answers by calling a helpline.
The Washington State Department of Health says residents should call 1-833-829-HELP to get the latest information about the monkeypox virus, also called MPV.
Callers can get information about risk factors, vaccines, testing, and treatment, seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling the number.
The first case of monkeypox was reported in Whatcom County on August 2nd.
Monkeypox is spread by close personal contact.
