BLAINE, Wash. — Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies finally caught up with a man they say got away after leading them on two chases in recent months.

Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater says 54-year-old Arden Foster of Custer fled a traffic stop on the Guide Meridian last March after deputies learned he had a suspended license and a number of arrest warrants out for him.

A woman jumped out of his moving car and he accelerated to more than 100 miles per hour before deputies gave up the chase.

Foster fled another traffic stop on Grandview Road on July 6th, then abandoned the car and ran away.

Then last Friday deputies were looking for a different suspect at a home on Birch Bay Drive when they found Foster in a bedroom.

He resisted arrest but was subdued and booked into jail on a bunch of charges.
