FERNDALE, Wash. – The City of Ferndale reports District 7 Assistant Fire Chief Dean Crosswhite has died.
He has been battling cancer and reports say he was recently undergoing alternative treatment after traditional treatment had plateaued.
Mayor Greg Hansen said in a statement: “Assistant Chief Crosswhite was a kind and generous man, who served Ferndale with his whole heart for 27 years. That’s an incredible legacy to leave behind and he will be sorely missed. We hold his family in our thoughts and prayers.”
The Ferndale Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a team cornhole tournament to benefit the Crosswhite family on April 29th.
