OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Department of Natural Resources has announced an emphasis on air response for the 2018 wildfire season beginning May 15 called Initial Attack.
The Department says this year’s goal is aviation mission response in under 15 minutes.
Whatcom County is served by airborne wildfire fighters from the Mount Vernon station.
