BELLINGHAM, Wash. – October is “Doctober” at the Pickford Film Center, where they have a lineup of 55 documentaries.
Doc-ED brings Whatcom County middle school students to the Pickford for a documentary and popcorn.
“We’ve been able to raise money through foundations and through donations from the community, so we were able to invite every single middle school student in Whatcom County to come for free this year,” the Pickford’s Lindsey Gerhard said.
Gerhard said the Pickford also provides educators with guest speakers who teach two lessons on Media Literacy.
“Doctober” begins this Friday and runs for five weeks.
