The Seattle Mariners announced a couple of roster moves today. Infielder Mike Freeman and pitcher Chris Heston were claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Seattle’s Major League, 40-man roster is now at 39 players.

Freeman was optioned to AAA Tacoma May 21 where he hit .356 with 9 RBIs in 15 games with the Rainiers. Over two stints with the Mariners this season he hit .067 with 1 RBI.

Heston was designated for assignment Wednesday. He had two stints with the M’s this season as well, going 0-1 with a 21.60 ERA with 3 strikeouts. With AAA Tacoma he was 2-1 with a 3.41 ERA in six starts.
