MOUNT VERNON, WASH. (AP) – Three dogs that attacked a 7-year-old Sedro-Woolley boy in January will be euthanized.
Police say the first grader was hospitalized with extensive wounds to his head and face after the mauling at a babysitter’s home.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports the pit bull terriers will be euthanized Friday.
Stephanie Birchette owned the dogs and pled guilty Tuesday for failing to report a dog attack.
Police contacted Birchette after the attack and she claimed she didn’t know where the animals were.
The dogs were later found in Sedro-Woolley.
