GLACIER, Wash. — Part of Mount Baker Highway will be closed to traffic this week.
Department of Transportation crews will be removing trees that could become hazardous this winter.
Travelers should plan for daily highway closures starting Monday and going through Thursday.
Both directions of Mount Baker Highway will be closed near Glacier between 7 AM and 4 PM.
Crews will allow local traffic through the work area when it’s safe, but the DOT says wait times could be long.
