BELLINGHAM, Wash. — In an effort to make downtown Bellingham a finer place, the Downtown Bellingham Partnership has brought on a retail advocate to revitalize and strengthen the retail core.
Jennifer Walters will work with current retailers to improve business and recruit new retailers to move into open spaces.
The city and the partnership say they chose Walters out of more than sixty applications because of her years of experience in various roles and levels of retail.
Mayor Kelli Linville hopes Walters will be able to implement the new downtown Bellingham retail strategy and help grow its commercial core.
