BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A drive-by shooting on a busy downtown street rattled nerves and caused damage but no apparent injuries early Saturday.
Police Lt. Claudia Murphy reports shots rang out just after 1:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Railroad Avenue.
It’s unclear how many shots were fired but Crime Scene Investigators found more than 10 shell casings.
No bystanders reported injuries but two parked cars were hit by bullets and a window in a Bank of America ATM alcove was shot out.
The suspects fled in two vehicles; a light-colored SUV and a darker sedan.
Detectives don’t know of a motive or who was involved in the shooting.
