FERNDALE, Wash. — A motorcycle-automobile crash north of Ferndale Thursday afternoon sent a Blaine man to Harborview Medical Center while a Bellingham woman was arrested on vehicular assault and felony DUI charges.
The State Patrol says Larrissa S. Barber was driving north on Vista Drive near the Enterprise Cemetery before 5:45 PM when she crossed the center line and struck a motorcycle driven by Johnathan R. McCoy head-on.
Barber’s car went down an embankment and both McCoy and his motorcycle came to rest on the shoulder.
Troopers say Barber and McCoy were taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center where McCoy was then airlifted to Harborview and Barber was later arrested.
