BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Maple Falls man who caused the crash that killed a father and his baby, according to the State Patrol, is dead.
A Saint Joseph Hospital spokesperson says Larry Fitzgerald, 71, died on Monday.
Troopers say Fitzgerald was on the Mount Baker Highway when he drifted into oncoming traffic on Sunday.
He caused Pamela Moyer’s car to flip.
Phillip Moyer and the Ferndale couple’s 5-month-old daughter Penelope were in a different car.
The State Patrol says Fitzgerald slammed into them head-on, killing them both.
Pamela has minor injuries and is recovering at home.
