SEATTLE, Wash. — Caregivers are being urged not to give in to COVID-19 fatigue during the holidays.
Cheryl Strange, Department of Social and Health Services Secretary, says caregivers have been an integral and underappreciated part of our state’s COVID-19 response.
She says caregivers have continued to rise to the challenge despite the added stress and health risks associated with the pandemic.
The department is asking caregivers to continue to do what they can to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and not to let their guard down.
For caregivers struggling with burnout, experts suggest talking to a loved one, seeking help if needed, getting enough sleep, taking time for yourself and exercising.
