BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom County Auditor Debbie Adelstein has released the count of ballots in this year’s primary election.

The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office counted more ballots Wednesday afternoon.

In Whatcom County Council races, Todd Donavan with 53% of the vote will take on Amy Glasser with 28%.

The other contest remains close: Rebecca Boonstra has 39%, Tyler Byrd 34% and Cliff Langley 28%, but it’s looking like it will be Boonstra and Byrd in November.

It will be Michael Shepard, who has 59% of the vote, against Dan Robbins, who has 32% in one Port of Bellingham race and Ken Bell with 48% versus Barry Wenher with 35% in the other.

Roxanne Murphy is the big leader in the Bellingham City Council primary with 67%, but her November opponent is still too close to call: Eric Bostrom has 18% and Jean Layton16%.

For Blaine City Council: Alicia Rule has 45% and Harry Robinson 43%, so they’ll meet in November.

In the Meridian School Board contest: Renier (Reh-neer) Beaver Elenbass is the leader with 42%, but the other two candidates are neck and neck – Jeannie Castro has 30% and Rob Horgen 28%.

In the Water District 13 race: Rebecca Cayen has 47% and Robert Vandenhaak is in second with 31%.

And, the Fire District 16 levy passed with 63% of voters supporting it.
