OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — More than 420,000 voters in Washington state have sent in their presidential primary ballots almost two weeks before the votes will be counted.

The secretary of state’s office says about 9.4% of registered voters in the state had cast their ballots as of Wednesday.

The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office says we’ve been even more engaged with over 19,000 ballots already returned.

That’s about 13% of local eligible voters.

Ballots must be in by March 10th.
