MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Some Mount Vernon residents were shaken awake by a moderate earthquake on May Day.

The earthquake warning app MyShake says the 3.6 magnitude quake hit at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 1st.

Some residents reported light shaking and a few said it felt moderate.

No damage was reported.

The quake was centered near Mount Vernon and about 8 miles deep.
