PORT HARDY, B.C. — Two minor earthquakes hit off the coast of Vancouver Island Monday afternoon.
According to the USGS, a magnitude 4.6 quake hit the area located about 100 miles from Port Hardy on the northern end of the island and a larger earthquake, measured at a magnitude of 5.5, hit an hour later.
They’re categorizing the quakes as “weak” with a low likelihood of casualties and damage.
