BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A new directory brings farmers and and people who want to eat local together.
Advocacy groups Sustainable Connections and Eat Local First have launched the “Eat Local First Washington Directory”.
The online database allows you to find local farmers statewide through a variety of sources.
The Whatcom, Skagit and Island Counties local food atlas function allows keyword searching to find farms within an input allowed distance and address.
An entry of “cheese” within 25 miles of zip 98225 brought up several nearby options.
