BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Christine Grant is well ahead in the race for Public Utilities District 1 Commissioner.
She leads current commissioner Jeff McClure by about 59 to 41 percent.
Public Utility District No. 1 of Whatcom County is a steward of water and energy resources providing locally controlled utility services and resource protection.
The PUD is also involved in local environmental, salmon habitat restoration, and utility issues in Whatcom County.
