EVERETT, Wash. – Naval Station Everett will be the homeport for the initial ships in the Navy’s next generation of guided missile frigates.

The Navy says this new and improved class of small surface combat ships will help the service achieve a more agile and resilient force.

Everett will be homeport to the first twelve of the new frigates, along with their crews and families.

The first new frigate, the USS Constellation, is scheduled to be delivered in 2026.
