BELLINGHAM, Wash. – 6th through 8th grade students at Evergreen Christian School will be on a new campus next fall.

In an announcement Friday morning, Lynden Christian Schools Superintendent Paul Bootsma said Evergreen Christian will re-unify with Bellingham Christian School after 27 years apart. They’ll start by moving middle school students this fall.

Bootsma said greater social connections that a larger school experience can provide is among the reasons for the change.

He says BCS has been working to get permits to develop their property on Sunset Drive, and will work to buy land and build a new building for the joint schools.
