WASHINGTON, DC – The Biden Administration is providing $2.6 million to support rural clinics in Washington State with their vaccination efforts.
The money will go to 54 rural health facilities to fight misinformation and help develop vaccine confidence and outreach efforts.
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Beccerra says the funding will give messengers in rural areas the tools they need to educate patients on the vaccine and help protect those communities.
Rural clinics will also use the funds to improve health literacy, focusing on vaccine safety and the benefits of broader vaccination efforts.
