The Ferndale 12U Cal Ripken team is heading to the World Series. According to discoverferndale.com, the Ferndale squad qualified by winning the Cal Ripken Northwest Regional 12U 60′ Northwest Regional Tournament Championship in Meridian, Idaho this weekend.
Ferndale beat Co County Idaho 8-6 in the semifinals and thumped the host squad from Meridian 12-4 in the championship game.
The Cal Ripken World Series begins August 1st in Clemens, North Carolina.
