FERNDALE, Wash. – A Ferndale-based shoe maker is bringing new high-performance custom running shoes and slides to the market.
Superfeet announced that using 3D scans of a person’s feet, they will begin making fully-customized recovery slides. Slides are the shoes worn after a run.
The ME3D Recover will be available in the spring at FitStations like the one at Fairhaven Runners & Walkers.
Superfeet has also partnered with Brooks Running Company to develop what it calls the first custom-created running shoes, which will be manufactured much like the slides.
Those are expected in mid-2018.
The company is finishing a manufacturing plant next to its headquarters near Hovander Park.
