FERNDALE, Wash. – A Ferndale company is the winner of the state’s Hire-A-Vet Award.
Bellair Charters and Airporter Shuttle will honored at a ceremony tomorrow.
The company is working to become a certified training provider through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
That would allow veterans to use their GI benefits to receive some income while training to become a bus driver.
The small company already employs 10 veterans and hired three veterans in 2016 alone.
