FERNDALE, Wash. — Just one month after completing a municipal leadership certification, a Ferndale councilmember has achieved an even higher goal.
Councilmember Ali Hawkinson has now received her Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities.
The program recognizes city and town elected officials for accomplishing training in four core areas.
To earn the advanced certificate, Hawkinson completed more than 60 hours of training credits and demonstrated community service.
